A styptic pencil will dry out your canker sores quickly
Alum – powdered alum is an astringent (a chemical compound that shrinks or constricts tissue) that some people use to heal their sores. Alum has a wide number of uses including in some medicines, in cosmetics and even as a flame retardant. It is also used in styptic pencils to stop bleeding from shaving cuts.
Hydrogen peroxide – commonly used as an antiseptic, disinfectant and even a rocket propellant, hydrogen peroxide can cause minor damage to open wounds and can stop bleeding in abrasions. Applied to canker sores, it will bubble slightly within the ulcer and slowly heal it. Several applications with a cotton swab over several days may be necessary.
